MOORPARK COLLEGE LIBRARY AND LEARNING RESOURCE BUILDING
2001-2003
The prime for the Moorpark College Learning and Resource Center construction utilized my CAD modeling expertise to develop the entire structure into a single 3D file: as their lone modeler. BOMs and numerous details were culled from the model, and the HVAC portion was transmitted to our in-house sheet metal laser cutting tables. I single-handedly modeled every register, light fixture, beam, bulkhead, etc.: A magnificent and beautiful project.
ALAMEDA COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION FACILITY
2004-2005
To come in under-budget and on-time, it was necessary for me to teach our modest crew many higher level CAD techniques: an unexpected challenge. Structural precast concrete, variances in MEP penetrations, and rebar patterns were the focus of our CAD efforts. Average bulkheads of 18' x 32' ringed the facility, with irregular perpendicular members linking them, - all of which were of a modular construct fitted together in a unique, puzzle-piece schematic.
KAISER PERMANENTE BASEMENT DEMO/REMO
2017
While drawn entirely in 2D, multiple plan and elevation displays assisted construction and facilities management in their effort to modernize wet/dry mechanical systems in the expanding basement level of the hospital. Translating actual pencil scans and other non-scaled, sub-standard files into highly accurate shop drawings required me to conceptualize and adapt to changing constraints often in order to quickly process the remodel evolution accurately.
